1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account, signing in, purchasing a subscription, or using Job Quest Lab, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Job Quest Lab helps you search for jobs, compare public job postings with information in your profile, research public company information, and prepare application materials. Job Quest Lab does not promise that you will receive an interview, an offer, employment, or any particular result.

Job listings, salary information, company information, and external application pages may come from third parties. They can be incomplete, out of date, inaccurate, or unavailable. You should verify important information with the employer before relying on it.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be legally able to enter into these terms and must provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign in method secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use Job Quest Lab unlawfully or to infringe another person’s rights;
• upload content you do not have permission to use or share;
• attempt to access another user’s account, data, or private files;
• interfere with the service, bypass usage limits, or probe its security;
• use automated extraction or scraping against Job Quest Lab without our written permission; or
• use generated material to impersonate someone, commit fraud, or mislead an employer.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the profile information, resumes, and other content you provide. You give Job Quest Lab the limited permission needed to host, process, transform, and display that content to provide the features you request.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for content you upload. You should review generated resumes, cover letters, match explanations, and research summaries before using them.

6. AI generated output

Job Quest Lab uses automated systems to generate or summarise content. Output may be incorrect, incomplete, biased, or unsuitable for your circumstances. It is provided as assistance, not professional, legal, employment, or career advice. You remain responsible for checking every application and deciding where and how to apply.

7. Free and Pro plans

Job Quest Lab offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Job searching is available without a plan based search cap. The Free plan currently includes up to three company research runs, three tailored resume generations, and three tailored cover letter generations per job. Pro removes those per job limits while the subscription is active, trialing, or otherwise eligible under the plan shown in the service.

We may change plan features or limits in the future. Changes do not remove rights that cannot lawfully be removed and will be reflected in the service or an updated version of these terms.

8. Payments and cancellation

Pro is billed monthly or annually at the price shown at checkout. Payments are processed through our payment provider. By starting a paid subscription, you authorise recurring charges for the interval you select until you cancel or the subscription ends.

You can manage eligible subscriptions through the billing portal linked in Job Quest Lab. Cancellation takes effect according to the information shown in the portal. Refunds, renewal rights, and consumer cancellation rights are subject to applicable law and any terms shown at checkout.

9. Job Quest Lab intellectual property

Job Quest Lab and its software, branding, design, and original materials belong to Job Quest Lab or its licensors. These terms give you permission to use the service for your personal job search. They do not transfer ownership or allow you to copy, resell, or reverse engineer the service except where applicable law permits it.

10. Availability and third parties

We work to keep Job Quest Lab available, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider outages, or events outside our control. Third party job boards, employers, AI providers, payment services, analytics services, and public websites have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their availability or content.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Job Quest Lab is provided on an “as available” basis and we do not guarantee that results will be accurate, complete, timely, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or loss of opportunity damages arising from your use of the service.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, create a security or legal risk, fail to pay, or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using Job Quest Lab at any time. Pro billing cancellation is handled through the billing controls described above.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or law changes. We will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the service. Continuing to use Job Quest Lab after an update means you accept the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. The courts with appropriate jurisdiction in the United Kingdom will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
